Sky47, Wateen Partner to Strengthen Pakistan’s High-Capacity Digital Infrastructure

Sky47 Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Wateen Telecom Limited to expand and strengthen Pakistan’s high-capacity digital infrastructure, a move expected to support the growing demand for data centers, cloud computing, and enterprise-grade connectivity across the country.

The agreement was formally signed by Sky47 Chief Executive Officer Hassan Abbas and Wateen Telecom Chief Executive Officer Adil Rashid, in the presence of senior executives from both organizations. The collaboration marks a significant step toward building a resilient and future-ready digital backbone for Pakistan.

Through this partnership, Sky47 aims to accelerate its vision of developing Pakistan’s most advanced AI-ready, Tier III and Tier IV certified data center ecosystem. By leveraging Wateen’s nationwide fiber network and connectivity expertise, the company plans to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance digital infrastructure aligned with Pakistan’s Cloud-First policy.

As part of the collaboration, Sky47’s carrier-neutral data center campuses in Karachi and Islamabad—along with planned expansion in Lahore—will be supported by high-capacity fiber connectivity, a robust national backbone, and enterprise-grade MPLS services. This infrastructure will enable uninterrupted operations for mission-critical workloads, meeting the performance and reliability requirements of hyperscalers, large enterprises, and government institutions.

Industry experts believe the partnership will play a key role in supporting Pakistan’s rapidly expanding AI, cloud, and high-performance computing ecosystem. The enhanced connectivity is expected to help businesses scale operations, improve data security, and adopt next-generation digital solutions with confidence.
