The District Education Authority (DEA) Lahore has come under serious criticism after failing to upload the academic results of nearly 400,000 government school students on the Student Information System (SIS) App for the 2024–25 academic year.

While 35 out of 36 districts across Punjab have successfully completed the result-upload process, Lahore remains the only district lagging behind, causing widespread concern among parents, teachers, and students.

Students Face Admission Crisis

The missing results include those of Class 1 to Class 9 students studying in government schools. Due to the absence of official records on the SIS App, thousands of students are facing major difficulties in securing admissions for the upcoming academic session.

Parents have expressed frustration, saying that private and public institutions are refusing admissions without verified online results, putting students’ academic futures at risk.

Teachers Summoned Despite Holidays

In response to the situation, the Programme Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU) has taken strict notice and ordered all teachers from Lahore’s government schools to report to their institutions despite ongoing winter holidays.

According to PMIU officials, result uploading will continue during official school hours, even though schools are officially closed. Teachers who fail to comply have been instructed to appear before the Education Authority office on January 2.

Disciplinary Action Warning

PMIU has issued a clear warning that any teacher who does not upload results will face disciplinary action under the PEDA Act. The department aims to complete the upload process immediately to prevent further disruption to students’ education.

Education experts say the delay highlights serious administrative inefficiencies in Lahore’s education system and have called for accountability to avoid similar issues in the future.
