Dubai Police have issued a strong public advisory urging residents and job seekers to stay alert against fake work visa schemes and employment fraud circulating online and through unofficial channels.

In a statement, the Anti-Fraud Center of the Criminal Investigation Department said scammers are deceiving people by offering fraudulent visa sponsorships and false job promises, often demanding money upfront with no legal backing.

Authorities warned that individuals and groups claiming to provide “guaranteed work visas” are exploiting vulnerable job seekers. Many victims reportedly lose large sums of money after trusting unverified offers that have no connection to legitimate employers or government bodies.

Dubai Police emphasized that employment visas can only be obtained through official government platforms or licensed recruitment agencies. Any job or visa offer made through informal, unregistered, or illegal means should be treated with suspicion.

The police urged anyone who falls victim to a fake visa scheme to report the incident immediately. Citizens and residents were also encouraged to report suspicious visa advertisements seen on social media or other platforms to help prevent further fraud.

Officials further advised the public to verify all visa-related information with relevant authorities before making any payments, warning that failure to do so could result in serious financial loss.
